PREMIO FOTOLIBRO INTERNACIONAL
INTERNATIONAL PHOTOBOOK AWARD
MANIFIESTO
Un fotolibro es el resultado del trabajo de un equipo editorial. Un proyecto fotográfico, para convertirse en libro, debe atravesar las etapas de conceptualización, edición y secuenciación, diseño gráfico, y finalmente impresión, acabado y producción gráfica. Todas estas etapas conforman un proceso editorial bien entendido. Se necesita tiempo, diálogo, equipo, sacrificio y finalmente el acto más complejo de todos: la publicación.
El Premio Internacional de Fotolibro FELIFA busca destacar estas etapas y analizarlas individualmente. Explicar su importancia, y a su vez estudiar cómo el buen trabajo de uno potencia e influye al resto.
Se elegirán los libros que mejor plasmen el trabajo realizado en las siguientes categorías:
Se seleccionarán hasta 6 finalistas por categoría y luego 1 libro ganador para cada sección. Luego de la premiación que ocurrirá durante FELIFA 2021 y en donde todos los libros participantes del certámen seran exhibidos, habrá una exposición itinerante donde tanto los libros finalistas como los libros premiados serán mostrados. En la exposición se analizará cada etapa en detalle, utilizando como ejemplos los libros finalistas de cada categoría y los ganadores, buscando explicar las razones de cada premiación. La exposición será inaugurada durante el primer semestre de 2022 en Buenos Aires y luego viajará a otras instituciones aliadas de América Latina incluyendo Brasil, Uruguay y Cuba.
Será una exposición/instalación de libros desmembrados. Desarmar para volver a armar y, así, aprender, entender, y saber cómo se realiza un buen trabajo editorial.

- MEJOR FOTOLIBRO donde las tres categorías fueron trabajadas en pos del proyecto fotográfico y generaron un libro que refleja una participación equilibrada de todos los aspectos.

MANIFESTO A photobook is the result of the work of an editorial team. A photographic project, in order to become a book, must go through the stages of conceptualization, sequencing, graphic design, printing and graphic production. All these stages build what we understand as a good editorial process. It takes time, teamwork, dialogue, sacrifice and finally the most complex act of all: publication.

Artista, editora y diseñadora de libros. Su práctica artística combina fotografía, video, sonido y texto. Su investigación se enfoca en las imágenes que cuestionan el límite entre el campo de lo público y lo privado y que cuestionan la interpretación de sentido en las narrativas visuales. En 2012 co-funda AKINA, editorial independiente dedicada al fotolibro. Es la mamá de Eliah.
Visual artist, photo editor and book designer. Her artistic practice combines photography, video, sound and text. Her research is aimed at images that challenge the shift from the public to the private realms and that question the interpretation of meanings in visual narratives. In 2012 she co-founded AKINA,independent publishing house of photobooks. She is Eliah’s mama.
